Reporting to the Chief People Officer, Guardian are searching for an innovative Recruitment expert to deliver exceptional recruitment strategies and methodologies to inspire a large team of talent acquisition professionals to grow their business further. This is a new position and is being introduced due to the businesses continued expansion plans. You will lead a team that comprises of a Talent Acquisition Manager, 6 Talent Acquisition Specialists and a Talent Acquisition Coordinator.

The dynamic nature of the role requires an adaptable leader with drive and commitment to lead the businesses strategic and operational recruitment function. The role will allow you to build the employment brand and profile internally and externally while developing innovative candidate attraction and retention strategies and action plans.


My client is looking for an experienced recruitment expert with significant sourcing experience, gained in high volume environments. Talent and passion are key drivers for this role and you will have impressive experience in creating and delivering sourcing strategies that attract high quality candidates. You are relentless in using tried and tested and new & novel ways to attract talent to the business and are passionate about finding, attracting and hiring the best calibre talent.

You will be accustomed to leading medium to large size teams and translating strategies into deliverable’s. You enjoy leading from the front, coaching and developing others and setting relevant action plans to support the team and ensure they are focused on deliverable’s and are always learning. You will be an expert in your field and enjoy the challenge of hard to fill roles. You will create success metrics that allow you to manage and measure performance.

You will be adept at exploring and finding the latest and greatest technologies and approaches to make finding talent easier and more efficiently.

You have a genuine passion for people and the front line, can manage multiple priorities and cope well in often pressured and ambiguous environments. Experience working for industries such as retail, hospitality or alternatively FMCG will be highly regarded. You must have previous experience operating at Manager level with proven experience as a trusted business advisor. You value the importance of working within and leading a team and of listening, disrupting and making a not being afraid to try new things.
