client group 660 – hr advisor reporting into hr manager

Reporting to group HR manager and managing one direct report , this position requires you to foresee and respond to the business needs, using creative problem solving skills in conjunction with their core values as well as develop and maintain relationships and confidence with all levels of the business. You will manage a large portfolio of approx 660 client group. This role offers opportunities to focus on the operational aspects of the HR Function and ability to influence an already well rounded diverse and modern-thinking company to reach even further success. You will deliver all HR operational initiatives across the employee life-cycle, ensuring all policies, programs and systems are in alignment with business strategies and effectively implemented and delivered to “best practice”. The position requires a creative HR manager who can work collaborative team environment to execute and develop projects within set time frames, guide and build management capability.

You will be the first point of contact for HR queries across the business here in Melbourne. This role will incorporate a wide range of HR duties including:

* Providing best practice HR Business partnering advice and guidance to the assigned client group
* Developing and executing the People Strategy for the assigned client group in conjunction with the Group HR Manager & GM
* Delivery of all HR operational initiatives across the employee life-cycle
* Ensuring all HR policies, programs and systems are in alignment with business strategies and effectively implemented & delivered to “best practice” standard.
* Managing the end-to-end recruitment process for all support staff roles for assigned business group
* Developing and coaching one HR Advisor
* Building and developing learning and development frameworks
* Coordinate the cyclical performance planning process
* Identify opportunities for improvements for HR processes and practices
* Manage any employee relation matters
* Ensure all HR programs and services are aligned with overall division objectives
* Provide coaching and guidance to business leaders
* Support and facilitate change management processes
* Design, develop and coordinate learning and development initiatives

Profile

The successful candidate will have previous broad generalist experience preferably within a retail or FMCG environment. You will have experience managing a direct report and have had exposure to the full employee life cycle and led all area of the HR function with a high level of integrity, ownership and connectivity. You will have previously worked in a dynamic and agile environment. In order to be successful in this role you will have a creative background and enjoy working autonomously. You will have previous experience in development and executing projects in a timely manner.
