Newly established role as a National Retail Manager for a leading Australian Retailer
Your new company
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Retail Professional to become a part of an Australian Retailer who are highly recognised for their premium homewares and bedding products. A role is available within their team as a National Retail Manager to be accountable for the Australian Retail Business.
Your new role
Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all sites and their teams across the Australian market, through extensive coaching and development and providing appropriate training opportunities and managing the recruitment process. Key accountabilities also include consistent monitoring of all financials and K.P.I’s, full P&L and wage accountability and also taking appropriate measures to uphold and go beyond all expectations with store performance and evaluations. You will also be responsible for upholding a constant understanding and knowledge of the current Australian Retail Market, and providing strategic feedback and decisions on product and store levels and direction. Consistent communication and feedback on each stores performance with the CEO is also a key element to the role and creating and maintaining brand awareness across the market and amongst clients.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you must have proven extensive experience in either a General Management or Head of Retail role within the Specialist Retail Industry; Big Box or Specialist Retail experience is highly preferred. You must have key skills in implementing and executing sales and profit growth strategies at a National level and a background in managing and exceeding budgets and sales targets across multiple stores; strong financial literacy and analytical skills are a must. The successful candidate will also have exceptional time management, communication and motivational skills. A strong understanding of P&L, wage and all that is required to run your business with financial success is a must. You must also have strong negotiation and skills as you will be dealing consistently with key executives within the business. A passion and strong understanding of the Australian and International Retail Industry is also highly preferred.
